JARKATA - Landslides in Indonesia's Bali triggered by heavy rain have left seven people dead and four others injured, the country's disaster agency said on Friday. The victims, including two children, were killed when landslides hit their houses in the Kintamani area around 11pm on Thursday. Rescuers have recovered the bodies of all the dead and evacuated the wounded, according to National Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho. The Bali Meteorological Climatology and Geophysics Agency expects that downpours will continue through Saturday in some areas of the popular resort island, such as Bangli, Jembrana, Buleleng, Tabanan, Gianyar, and Badung. "People are encouraged to always be aware of landslides, floods, and cyclones," said Sutopo.
